Dreamhaus v 2.0

Robbie and I have decided that we must build this house. (It’s not that Ever After isn’t gorgeous. It is, and I love my house. But someday we’re building on his family’s land.) Personally, my favorite feature is the master bathtub on a pedestal with columns on either side of it, but the tower doesn’t hurt either. What, don’t tell me you’ve never wanted a house with a tower.

Um, it also has a rotunda. Seriously. Did you know houses could have rotundas? I pretty much thought only castles and buildings on the old parts of college campuses had rotundas.

It’s a little big for just the two of us… I’m already dreaming up ways to chop off the back half and rearrange things. It reminds me a little of elementary school, when I used to spend entire summer days designing my dream house on graph paper in colored pencil, complete with elevators and bowling alleys and secret passageways.

Hm, I wonder if I could fit a secret passageway in here somewhere…

What about you? What does your dream home look like? Are you lucky enough to live in your dream home? (If so, I am filled with righteous envy.)

Wrap-around porch is on my list of must-haves too. :) Thanks for visiting!

The one requirement of my wife is that we have a "wrap-around porch" on our dream house. I honestly suspect she'd rather have a trailer with a wrap-around porch than a mansion without one. But maybe I'm just sayin' that 'cuz I know I'll never afford a mansion.

Pretty house, though. We'll be sure to throw parties in that bad boy when you're not around.

Girl, you'll be rich and famous before you know it and building your dreamhouse for forever house. :) But I'm totally envious of your creek. That's really cool.

You're right. It's too big for just the two of you. Maybe you should let me move in with you. Or better yet, just give it to me. ;-)

As for my dream house, I'm living in the "dream for now" house. It's nice and I like it, but the townhouse thing does wear a little thin. At least I have my creek out back that's wonderful to listen to on a rainy day.

I'd say that's a fair arrangement, Merinda. :) Maybe he could be allowed one bathroom too. Heehee.

Of course I've always wanted a house with a tower :). I play the Sims a lot, so I've had lots of fun playing with houses (did you know the game originally intended as an architecture sim?)

Anyway, judging by my taste on there my dream house would probably be an old farm house, painted red or white with a white wrap around porch. Or at least a big front porch. And I want a big kitchen painted yellow.

Erm, not that I've thought about this much...but after 10 years in various apartments I want a wall color other then white! Hubby's already been warned, whenever we get a house, he gets the garage, the rest is mine!
