Yeah, I’m still calling myself a writer, even though it’s been quite a while since I’ve actually done any writing. In fact, my last manuscript was completed in November 2007. Yeah, I suck.
But, mostly to make myself feel better, I’m posting the stuff I have done lately:
January 12, 2008 – Sent Shooting Stars to Silhouette Desire (Rejected)
November 29, 2008 – Sent Shooting Stars to Ellora’s Cave/Cerridwen (Pending)
January 24, 2009 – Sent Shooting Stars to Loose Id (Rejected)
March 3, 2009 – Sent Shooting Stars to Liquid Silver Books (Pending)
So, see? I’m doing stuff. Kinda. So my goal for the rest of the year is to submit something every other month. That means that when Shooting Stars is submittable no more, and everyone on the planet has looked at it and rejected it, I’ll need to have something new ready to submit. Which means I’d better get crackin’, because I’m running out of places to send it.
Oh, and if you’re wondering how I’m keeping track of all these submissions, check out Writer’s Database. It’s a great, simple tool for tracking stuff related to writing, and I love it.
How about you? Any writing goals for the year?
