I Heart Books

Here are some of the books I’ve read recently and what I thought of them:

Wed By Deception by Emilie Rose

Loved the conclusion of the Kincaid series! Nadia’s and Lucas’ shared pain made this a poignant, touching read.

Let Sleeping Rogues Lie by Sabrina Jeffries

Very cute. I particularly enjoyed learning some new historical tidbits from this one, and the author’s notes at the end are not to be missed!

Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse #2) by Charlaine Harris

Sookie has such an endearing, down-home voice that it’s hard not to love her. In my experience, that kind of voice is pretty unique in the urban fantasy world… though I’m not sure you’d call this urban fantasy, exactly. In any case, lovable, exciting, funny, and dramatic, all in one.

In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner

Funny, touching, and real– I loved that this book was about families and weirdnesses and learning to get to know the people you should know best: your family. Can’t wait to see the movie!

Sea Witch by Virginia Kantra

Love this one, and can’t wait to read the rest of the series! Margred was a great character, and I really enjoyed her transformation from selkie to human. Kantra delves into a lot of great themes in this book, not the least of which is what it means to have a soul. Highly enjoyable read!

So what about you? What have you read lately, and what did you think about it?

My last two books were Sabrina Jeffries Wed Him Before You Bed Him (I seem to be ahead of you in the series.) and Stephanie Laurens Mastered by Love.

Both were good and as the end of series…kinda disappointing because I'm now leaving a world I've been invested in through multiple books.

Right now my list to read is all about Craft and Research (need material for two different storylines) . Although I do have a western to read and I need to read Deb Marlowe's An Improper Aristocrat. So glad school starts soon.
