Monster Dash Fun

Yesterday was the Raleigh Monster Dash, and Jamie and I went for it, though woefully undertrained for the past few weeks. (Here we are– smile, Jamie!)

I am proud to say that we both ruled, and I personally beat my goal time of under 40 minutes. I think it was about 38 minutes or so, although official times aren’t posted yet. I had some drama at the Mile 1 marker– the worst stomach cramp ever! So I had to walk for a half a mile and still managed to beat my goal. I’m really pleased, and already thinking about the next race and the next goal. 33 minutes or bust? (Hey, I own my slowness.)

Robbie took some videos of me at the starting line and the finish line. (Jamie and I, in addition to being woefully undertrained, are also woefully under-costumed. Next year, we will return with better times and WAY better costumes!)

We need tails next year at the very least. and just for the record I smiled both before and after Robbie took the picture - I quit smiling coz I thought he wasn't ready LOL
