The Decorations

The leaves, tulle, and ribbons are all from the wedding.

Decorating for the wedding was rather easy since the location was already so scenic. Sonja and Robbie used a lot of candles and white twinkle lights, along with some tulle and seasonal garlands. A table was set up with wedding favors (CD’s of the wedding music), wedding programs, engagement photos taken by Lisa, and guestbook tags. Lisa made the guestbook tags and brought multi-colored pens and a tag tree so that guests could hang up their signed tags. Also decorating the table was a wedding gift from Sonja’s grandparents: a paper sculpture commissioned especially for the wedding, featuring the wedding invitation with a forest scene around it under a glass dome.

Re-Auntied

I’m going to be an auntie!

Pendlebaby, due in December

I’m already an auntie to three wonderful children, of course, and I love them with all my heart, but this one feels different. I can’t quite explain besides that the baby’s mama is my twin sister. This person– who I’ve known since birth and shared a room with for 14 years and shared schools with for 13 years and who still knows me better than everyone but a handful of people in the whole world– made a baby. How amazing is that?

I can’t wait to meet you, Pendlebaby!
