In my mind, I kind of thought that I would go to a sporting event someday, sit next to a heckler/cheerer, and ask politely if he/she could teach me how to whistle like that, pretty please. In reality, I have been to a concert and several sporting events with loud whistlers since I came up with this plan, but I am too much of a chicken to ask them to teach me.
So, I have decided that I will have to learn myself. This has worked in the past. I taught myself how to fold a fitted sheet with a YouTube tutorial. I taught myself how to play the ukulele (sort of– don’t judge) with a few online tutorials. So learning to do a loud two-fingered whistle can be done on my own, I’m sure.
So I’m gathering resources. In case you all are interested in learning along with me, here’s what I found:
- eHow Article: How to Whistle With Two Fingers
- Google Answers
- How to Whistle Loudly
- How to Whistle Through Your Fingers (The guy creeps me out a little, but the animation is good and I like that the theory is explained.)
I will probably end up dizzy and slobber-covered, but hey, what I do in the privacy of my own home is none of your business anyway– heh.
Can you do the whistle? Do you have any tips for me?
