NaNoWriMo 2011: A Hitch In My Get-Along

NaNoWriMo started last night at midnight. But I didn’t. In fact, as I am writing this, at nearly 4 pm,  I have written a grand total of 0 words. ARGH!

(Those of you who have day jobs understand my quandary. If I want to write during the day, it has to be on my lunch break or before work, and the before work one ain’t gonna happen.)

I’m trying not to get stressed, though. This is supposed to be fun, after all. So, here’s my inspiration board so far. I’m writing a comedy caper book… hopefully… unless I change my mind again… No, I won’t. It’s a comedy caper book. I think. GAH.

Are any of you hopelessly floundering still, or am I the only one?

  • Robena Grant

Decided not to this year. Almost relented yestterday. Glad today that I held fast. Ha ha.

    • Ha, Robena, come to the Dark Side. We have cookies.

  • Um, yeah, I haven’t written anything either. At least I have a plane trip tonight to try and get some done… but I’m going to be in continuing education for the next three days, so I’m guessing my word count will be poor. Or maybe I’ll ignore the people talking and just write during 🙂

I still need to think up a plot…

    • Plot schmot. You don’t need no stinkin plot.

  • Beth Caudill

Not doing Nano this year officially.  As I have three stories that need edits, I’m working my way through editing and finishing stories rather than writing new.  Timing isn’t right this year.

Did you see Red?  This is my new favorite spy romantic comedy.  It’s right next to Undercover Blues on my spy radar which is why I’m suggesting it.   🙂

    • Thanks for the suggestion– I’m going to add it to my list right now!

  • Kari Hayes

I’d say lube up that hitch and we’ll race, but you’ll beat me, so let’s just keep each other company 😉

    • Ha, Kari, keep the faith. 😉 I’m behind, but not too badly behind at this point.
