I thought I’d take you on a little Christmas tour of my living room today. Yes, all of these shots are zoomed in and cropped weird because I haven’t vacuumed and there’s a pile of unfolded laundry on my couch. Deal.
Christmas tree. Ahhn.
Stockings all hung with care… or, in my case, reckless abandon.
(Lest you get all excited, there are three stockings because the dog gets one, too.)
My mantel, done in pink because my living room curtains are pink and my area rug has pink in it and I strive at Christmas to make at least one thing not clash with my entire living room.
And, lastly, the Christmas village, which Robbie and I have been collecting since our first Christmas together, when we set it up in my dorm room.
Tada. Merry Christmas. There is glitter freaking everywhere now and I really do need to vacuum, but I cleaned two bathrooms and did laundry and cooked dinner yesterday and then I was tired. I’ll get to it sometime, probably after I track the rest of the glitter throughout the house.
Here’s what else I’ve been up to:

This was the week for lists of Pinterest fails, apparently, and I made it on all of them.
What I Read
‘Twas the Night After Christmas (Hellions of Halstead Hall #6) by Sabrina Jeffries - Absolutely loved it! Fantastic Christmas read with wonderful characters and an ending that made me cry happy tears. Couldn’t ask for anything better! Curl up in front of your Christmas tree and enjoy this one!
What I Watched
Once Upon a Time – Holy crap, I am now totally addicted to this show. The first season is on Netflix and it’s freaking amazing. The second season is on TV now (or on the Internets, later, which is how I watch it) and it’s getting weirder, but I think weirder in a good way. They keep hinting about mermaids and OMG I CAN’T WAIT. Anyway, just about every episode makes me cry happy tears because there is love and the good guys triumph (even if they do suffer a whole lot first) and it’s just good, guys.
Revenge of the Bridesmaids – Remember how I said I like those cheesy made-for-TV family channel movies? Yeah, this is one of those. But it is so cute. Completely stupid plot, unabashedly stupid characters, but good, clean fun.
Tin Man – This is a miniseries that was on SciFi (or are we still calling it SyFy or whatever?) a while back and I just now got the chance to watch it. It’s a “darker” telling of The Wizard of Oz. I thought it was sort of meh. The idea was good. The execution was… meh. But I also just don’t like Zooey Deschanel (I know, I’m sorry) except in Elf, so maybe that’s why I didn’t really think it was great.
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen – I finally got around to watching this one after several recommendations. I enjoyed it. It was cute and snappy and different. And plus Ewan McGregor’s Scottish got to come out to play and that was fun.
If you want to keep up with me on a minute by minute basis and just can’t wait to find out what the next piece of gray matter I toss up on the Internets will be, you can follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Tumblr. (I try to post different stuff in all these places, so you won’t get inundated with the exact same thing if you follow all of them.)
