Beach Day

Best thing about working for myself? Taking minimally planned day trips just because the weather is nice that day. This week, I went to the beach. Here are the most exciting things I saw:

Filming for Revolution (J.J. Abrams post-apocalyptic show)

Cool, right? I mean, it was cooler in person because my photography skills are obviously lacking, but you get the idea, I hope.

Anyway, here’s what else I’ve been doing this week:

What I Wrote

I did a post about our weird NC winter weather. And then the next day I went on a pub crawl because all the ice had melted (yay!) and then Tuesday I went to the beach and drove around with the top off. NC is weird.

I made an Old Cuban and told a touching story of Creme de Menthe.

I also made meatballs stuffed in biscuits. Come on. There’s no way I could not make testicle jokes.

On Teh Internets

I can’t read this, but I’m in it, as is the word “vomitado.” Um, thanks, I think.

Also, Oklahoma likes me. Which is nice, because I also like Oklahoma, especially when we’re talking about the Hugh Jackman version.

What I Watched

K-19: The Widowmaker – This was really depressing, and not just because of Harrison Ford’s terrible accent.

Nirvana: Nevermind – Really cool. They interviewed the producer for that album and he sat there and played just the vocal tracks or just the guitar track to demonstrate his points. Very interesting.

Post Impact – Dude, Dean Cain must have fallen on hard times after Lois & Clark. This was hilariously awful.

Other Crap

If you want to keep up with me on a minute by minute basis and just can’t wait to find out what the next piece of gray matter I toss up on the Internets will be, you can follow me on TwitterFacebookPinterest, and Tumblr. (I try to post different stuff in all these places, so you won’t get inundated with the exact same thing if you follow all of them.)
