Apparently I was on the cutting edge of fashion with my haircut of two months ago, which, I learned today, is called a “pixie crop.” Victoria Beckham did it first, but then, she always does haircuts first.
Now, though, she’s growing it out. Observe:

Think I might try to get my stylist to do something similar to mine at my appointment today. I like that it’s fringy, but not too short-short, and I can never quite pull off sideswept bangs like that, but I like the idea of them.
On the other hand, we all know how things turn out when I bring pictures to the stylist…
I’ve been to the zoo.

This ostrich tried to eat us. It was fun.
I’ve been to the beach.

This used to be a pier... notsomuch anymore.
I visited some goats.

I heart goats.
I love seeing new places.

But I also love coming home.

If I didn’t know I was asymmetrical before, I do now. My bridesmaid dress for Skye’s wedding came today. Here’s the model:

Aaaaand, here’s me.

As you can see, there’s a little room on top. At first, I thought maybe I could hide the fact that I don’t quite… uh… fill it out. You know, save $50 on tailoring…

But two pairs of rolled up socks were, sadly, lacking. Four pairs? (That’s EIGHT socks, people. Eight.)

But even I could not show up at a wedding looking like… Well, I’ll just show you.

So, it’s off to the tailor I go. “Please make my tiny chest work in this dress that fits perfectly everywhere else. Thank you.” Ah, the humbling experience that is putting on a dress.
